My dream.

My dream is to become a world record Speedrunner. No, it's not a career goal, I want to open a bar for that, but earning a world record time has always been something I want to work towards. With practice, motivation, and maybe a bit of routing, I will achieve it.

Reflection / August 12th

On the topic of Mr. Reace's class, there wasn't much to note. There was a funny interaction between me and a few classmates about living in a house versus living in an apartment, one of which told me to be humble that I'm not living on the street. I'll admit, she is right. I should be happy that I live anywhere and I believe everyone should, but I don't think she quite understands that I don't hate my apartment, I only wish I could live in a house. You don't work at a job continuously saying that you should be happy to even have the job, you work to get higher than where you are. You don't play a game and say to yourself that you and everyone should be happy to even play, you practice to get better and go higher. Maybe that's just my mindset, even so, I simply agreed and let it end there, else I'd most likely come off as disrespectful.

Introduction

My name is Michael Hill, though I wished I could change it to Luciel, I'm simply refered to as Mike. I am 18 years of age and my birthday is September 25th, even though I don't remember it usually. I like speedrunning any% games, writing stories for my characters, analyzing music and literature, mostly manga, and watching and learning complex martial arts.  I am currently taking Mr. Reace's literature course and hoping to graduate to achieve my dream, to open my very own bar downtown.

Reflection / August 11th

August 11th, 2021 About today's lesson, nothing. At least not anything particularly eventful. We did an analysis of a Tupac song, a song I already knew and studied before, but I will admit it was fun to debate about the hidden meanings and his wordplay throughout the song. There was a moment where I realized that Resist the Temptation closely mirrored the song Chris DoMeth by Hopsin, which I didn't notice until I heard it again, so that definitely was a realization that I liked.
